General information about Rectangular Profiles
Produced with the latest technology of our time, rectangular profiles are formed by pickling or using cold-rolled strips. These profiles have a wide range of applications, including the construction industry, roof structures, furniture industry, machinery and agricultural equipment, automotive, bus and truck bodies, and many other sectors.
Rectangular profiles are manufactured in factories or workshops located in almost every city. During this production process, certain criteria must be met, which vary depending on the dimensions and thicknesses of the profiles. To briefly mention the standards:
- Thin-walled rectangular profiles are produced in accordance with TS 6475 standards.
- Thick-walled rectangular profiles are produced in accordance with TS 5317 standards.
- There are also international standards for profile production, such as DIN 2395, DIN 59411, ASTM A-500, and BS 6363.
In the production of rectangular profiles, there are certain standard ranges regarding the outer surface and the amount of raw material used. Manufacturing within these ranges reflects the quality of the product.
The outer dimensions of the profiles should be between 10×10 mm and 200×320 mm, and the standard wall thickness should be between 0.80 mm and 10.0 mm.
The standard length of rectangular profiles is 6 meters, but depending on the wall thickness, this length can be extended up to 13 meters.
